You must be a verified health professional or a recognized patient advocate to join; accounts found to misrepresent credentials or clinical experience will be terminated immediately. All content you submit must be fact-based, cite reliable sources where applicable, and clearly distinguish personal opinion from established medical guidance. We reserve the right to permanently remove any account that knowingly posts harmful misinformation, violates patient confidentiality (including HIPAA-protected data), or engages in predatory behavior toward other members.
Content removal is at our sole discretion, and we act promptly on reports. We will delete posts that are unsubstantiated, promotional, or that contain unverified claims about treatments, medications, or clinical outcomes. This includes any content that could reasonably be misinterpreted as formal medical advice outside of peer-to-peer context. Because your discussions may be synthesized into editorial briefs for clinicians, we require that all posts include a clear basis—whether a published study, guideline, or documented lived experience. Posts lacking this foundation may be removed without notice. Repeated violations will result in account termination, and we may flag repeat offenders to relevant professional boards if the behavior suggests direct harm to patient safety.
Data handling is transparent and limited. We collect only the personal information necessary to verify your professional or advocacy status—such as licensure, organization affiliation, or recognized patient group membership—and to facilitate peer discussion. Your posts are used to generate editorial briefs, but we anonymize all content before inclusion in any clinical summary; no personally identifiable information is transferred into those briefs. We do not sell your data or share it with third parties for marketing. By posting, you grant Forum FEC a non-exclusive license to reproduce and adapt your content solely for the purpose of creating editorial briefs. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time via our Contact Us page; we will process such requests within 30 days, except where we are legally required to retain records for clinical auditing purposes.
Forum FEC was established in 2018 and operates as a moderated community, not a medical provider. You acknowledge that no content here replaces independent clinical judgment or professional consultation. We encourage rigorous debate but require civility—personal attacks, intimidation, or exploitation of vulnerable members will result in immediate removal and termination of access.
